Return visitors to Savannah often have must-do sights and experiences. They always stop by the fountain in Forsyth Park or stroll down River Street or dip their toes in the ocean at Tybee. And those must-dos can include dining experiences they repeat, with family and friends, for special occasions or just because a particular restaurant reminds them of why they love Savannah so much.

Corleone’s Trattoria is that dining must-do for many people. It’s popular with couples who celebrate every anniversary there and families who return as part of every reunion. Located in the heart of the historic downtown at the corner of Broughton Street and MLK  Boulevard, it’s delicious casual Italian dining in a cozy, rustic setting. They have a full bar, signature cocktails and extensive wine list to help you celebrate, serving a meal you won’t soon forget.

For lunch, Corleone’s offers warming Tomato Basil Bisque, salads and appetizers like Fried Asparagus with Goddess Sauce or Mussels Italiano, freshly sautéed in white wine and garlic or marinara sauce. They offer Artisan Flatbreads, like their Goat Cheese, topped with ricotta, garlic, pancetta, prosciutto and goat cheese, and a selection of paninis. Try their Eggplant Parmesan, breaded, fried, topped with marinara and mozzarella and baked to perfection. Or Italian entrees like Baked Ziti, Lasagna or Penne a la Vodka, available as whole or half plate servings.

The dinner menu expands to include some classic Italian dishes that are Corleone’s specialities. Imagine their Adult Mac 'n' Cheese, with gruyere, white cheddar, Asiago, and pancetta topped with a Parmesan crust. Try their Veal Picatta, sauteed in white wine garlic sauce with lemon and capers and topped with spinach, or the Lobster and Shrimp Ravioli, stuffed with lobster, shrimp, cheese, and tomatoes with a pink champagne sauce.

Corleone’s offers many vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options.

You’ll want to save room for dessert, to try their authentic Italian gelato, tiramisu, New York cheesecake topped with raspberry and white chocolate sauce, or their cannolis, stuffed with sweet cream cheese and chocolate chip filling.

Hours are 11-10 Monday through Thursday, 11-11 Friday and Saturday, and 4-10 on Sunday. Reservations available via OpenTable. Valet parking is available on busy evenings.
