Goose Feathers Cafe

For over three decades, Goose Feathers Café has earned a stellar reputation for standout service, delicious health-conscious cuisine and an inviting atmosphere that sets this restaurant apart from other downtown Savannah eateries.

Michael and Beth Meeks have built a faithful following of Savannah locals and returning visitors as a result of their progressive take on fast, fresh food. It is not uncommon to see a line extending beyond their front doors as locals and visitors alike vie for a spot inside this cozy corner café.

Serving the Savannah area since 1986, Goose Feathers is located just steps away from boutique shopping on Broughton Street. Guests are treated to a dining experience reminiscent of a Parisian sidewalk café. Offering both interior and limited outside dining, guests can choose from an array of delectable scratch-made sweet and savory menu items, an assortment of freshly baked handmade breads and pastries prepared daily with care and passion. For coffee aficionados they have fresh ground Rogers Family Fair Trade South American grown coffee.

“From the beginning we wanted the café to be different,” said Michael Meeks. “We have proven that food served in a timely manner doesn’t have to come from a drive-through. Our guests appreciate our mission to provide an extensive variety of delicious and healthy menu items served quickly. It’s what keeps them coming back.” That and our belief in the fact that we treat everyone like a regular no matter if we ever see them again or not.

At Goose Feathers Café, breakfast is served all day long. In fact Jetsetter Magazine and the Charlotte Observer listed Goose Feathers as one of the must-try restaurants when visiting Savannah.

Go-to breakfast favorites includes a variety of fresh baked bagels (they now offer gluten-free bagels as well), their wonderfully delicious Belgian Waffle, sweet and savory handmade stuffed butter croissants, hearty portions of homemade oatmeal with fresh fruit, Breakfast Panini and their signature Eggs Benedict Savannah Style. For lunch, choose from the homemade soup of the day, Overstuffed City Market Sandwiches, Signature Café Sandwiches, and a variety of green salads.

Popular items include the Honey Ginger Chicken Sandwich, Smoked Turkey Reuben, Italian Panini and Black Bean Burrito. Be sure to save room for a serious choice of sweets, featuring made-from-scratch cookies, cakes, bread pudding and whoopie pies.

“As a family-owned business,” said Meeks, “we have our hands in everything and truly take pride in the food we serve our guests. Our goal is to continue to offer creative, alternative food options to our patrons.”

Goose Feathers Café also offers web-to-go online ordering for pick-up and delivery, in addition to a complete catering service. Enjoy your next lunch meeting in the office, corporate event, or an al fresco picnic in the park with Goose Feather’s Café catering.
