Molly MacPherson's Scottish Pub & Grill

Since 2005, Molly MacPherson’s Scottish Pub & Grill—the only Scottish pub and grill in Savannah—has been serving delicious food and drink in a relaxed, inviting setting, with a high tin ceiling, wood and stained glass bar, and comfortable chairs set around a working fireplace. Molly’s is a locally owned family business: their great-grandmother immigrated from Scotland to Nova Scotia in the 1890’s, and the family has been in the pub business for 300 years, dating back to the 1700’s. Authentic Scottish recipes, like Scotch Eggs, Cock-a-Leeky Soup, Scotch Trout, Shepherd’s Pie and Bangers and Mash, have been passed from generation to generation, and Molly’s also serves salads, sandwiches, steaks and seafood. Some stand-out dishes include the heavenly Cheese & Fruit Board appetizer, with baked brie in whisky sauce; the Molly’s Favorite sandwich, roasted turkey breast with cheddar cheese and thinly sliced green apple, drizzled with maple syrup and then grilled; the hearty Steak and Guinness Stew; the Sizzling NY Strip Steak, served with neeps and tatties (Scottish standards, turnips and potatoes); and Molly’s Scotch Cake, a homemade triple-layer orange and whisky cake with orange, honey and Gran Marnier butter frosting.

Looking to wet your whistle? Molly’s boasts the largest single malt whisky selection on the East Coast—over 270—categorized by region. Their goal is to enhance your Scotch knowledge, if possible, and allow the discerning customer an opportunity to enjoy a fulfilling whisky experience. Flights are available as well, so you can try multiple single malts at a reasonable price. You will also find delicious Celtic beers are plentiful at Molly’s, available both in bottles and on draft.

Molly MacPherson’s is located at 311 W. Congress Street in Savannah (by City Market, a block north of Broughton, between Montgomery and Jefferson Streets). Hours: Mon-Sat 11 a.m. - close; Sun noon - close. 912-239-9600. There are Molly MacPherson’s in Richmond Hill (near exit 87 off I-95) and in Pooler (Exit 104 off I-95), as well.

Fun place to watch the game!

Enjoyed watching the game the other night at Molly's in Pooler. The meatloaf was excellent (as always!), the boys got the bangers and mash and my husband loved Molly's Favorite sandwich with turkey and apple slices! Delicious!!
